Egypt Trip July 2010

Cairo - DAY 1 - 12th July 2010
We arrived at Cairo Airport around 12pm local time. We miss our Hotel Rep and took about 1/2 hours to find him. The JW Marriott give a complimentary shuttle service from airport to our hotel. Although it only 7km but the travelling took almost 30 minutes as we had to take a very far round about. We have to pass security check at the hotel entrance (all hotel have this) and our bags also have to be scane (just like at the airport. The hotel was big and beautiful. We stayed for 5 night here (room only).
When we were asked the reason for our stayed, my husband did mention that tis holiday is to celebrated my birthday. I was given a very delicious chocolate cake. It was delivered to our room when we back from our dinner.

We took hotel free shuttle to City Star at Heliopolis, Cairo for our dinner. Hugh shopping center, with lot of shop and also resturant. We had italian food. Stayed there until 9.30pm and back to hotel again.

Our Journey started early in the morning on Monday, we catched a BMI flight from Heathrow to Cairo at 9.45 am. The BMI serviced were bad, we booked as party of 3 with same PNR numbers, a day before my husband called their reservation and was confirmed we will be sit together but in the morning all of our seat were everywhere. As I'm a disable traveller, I need to be with someone on the flight to help me around. We did uttered our unhappiness, the check in staff just wash their hand. Bad, bad service BMI. We will never travel with BMI again if we can, at the gate they managed to get me to sit together with my husband. My husband said there must be some raciest factor in this part because of our muslim name, as the reason they gave that our seat we given to a family, can they see we are a party of 3 were also a family and further more there was a disable person travelling. When we were inside the aircraft, the seat were not given to a family but to a white lady who want a window seat, what a customer service!!!!
This view from our 5th floor belcony room at JW Marriot Cairo. Lovely pools and also beach pool together with wave machine.

Our room were big with 2 double size beds. Siti had her onw bed all for herself with plenty of pillows. The bath room were good size too.
